Differential Reassignment - IEEE Signal Processing Letters
A geometrical description is given for reassignment vector fields of spectrograms. These vector fields are shown to be connected with both an intrinsic phase characterization and a scalar potential. This allows for the generalization of the original reassignment process to a differential version based on a dynamical evolution of time-frequency particles.
متن کاملSignal sequence conservation and mature peptide divergence within subgroups of the murine beta-defensin gene family.
Beta-defensins are two exon genes which encode broad spectrum antimicrobial cationic peptides. We have analyzed the largest murine cluster of these genes which localizes to chromosome 8. Using hidden Markov models, we identified six beta-defensin exon 2-like sequences and subsequently found full-length expressed transcripts for these novel genes. Expression was high in brain and reproductive ti...
متن کاملEffect of the murine leukemia virus extended packaging signal on the rates and locations of retroviral recombination.
Reverse transcriptase (RT) switches templates frequently during DNA synthesis; the acceptor template can be the same RNA (intramolecular) or the copackaged RNA (intermolecular). Previous results indicated that intramolecular template switching occurred far more frequently than intermolecular template switching. We hypothesized that intermolecular template-switching events (recombination) occurr...
متن کاملRAG1 Mediates Signal Sequence Recognition and Recruitment of RAG2 in V(D)J Recombination
Recent studies have demonstrated that DNA cleavage during V(D)J recombination is mediated by the RAG1 and RAG2 proteins. These proteins must therefore bind to the recombination signals, but the specific binding interaction has been difficult to study in vitro. Here, we use an in vivo one-hybrid DNA binding assay to demonstrate that RAG1, in the absence of RAG2, can mediate signal recognition vi...
متن کاملEffect of Echo Time on the Maximum Relationship between Contrast Agent Concentration and Signal Intensity Using FLAIR Sequence
Introduction Contrast-enhanced fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) is one of the MRI sequences that can be used for detection and evaluation of pathological changes in the brain. In this work, we have studied the effect of different echo times (TE) on the maximum relationship between signal intensity and concentration of the contrast agent using the FLAIR sequence. Materials and Methods...
